Supports the immune system, digestion and a healthy inflammatory response.
Brewing Instructions: Heat 8 ounces of water just to boiling and steep 1- 2 teaspoons or up to 1 tablespoon of tea for at least 20 minutes. Add honey or other sweeteners if desired.
Try the golden milk latte recipe below. It is an enjoyable and relaxing drink that has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years.
It is not difficult to prepare, but it is more convenient to make a concentrated tea in larger batches and simply heat as needed.
In a saucepan add 3 tablespoons of turmeric chai to 24 oz. of water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and add 6 black teabags (or 6 tsp. of loose leaf black tea) and steep for an additional 5 minutes. Pour through a fine mesh strainer and refrigerate. This will keep for about 5 days.
To prepare a latte:
Add a cup of tea concentrate and honey or other sweetener to a pan at low heat. Whisk in milk and heat to the desired temperature, top with cinnamon and drink. You can use a 1/2 tea, 1/2 milk ratio and adjust to your taste.
It is a great evening tea, but if you are sensitive to caffeine at night or any time of day, skip the black tea.
Organic Ingredients: Cucuma longa (turmeric), Elettaria cardamomum (cardamom), Cinnamomum verum (cinnamon), Zingiber officinale (ginger root), Syzygium aromaticum (clove), Piper nigrum (black peppercorn)
